Accepted or Denied?

Well geez. These past few months have been quite a rollercoaster of the waiting game. I interviewed for EFY (yes, again). Still waiting to hear back from them. Pray for me. I also applied for the graduate program in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Utah. I heard back from them.

Drum roll please...

Keep drumming...

After months of waiting while others were receiving acceptance letters from other programs, I waited. Not so patiently, might I add (which could be why it seemed like an eternity until I heard back). Today, during my Aural Rehab class, I accidentally ignored a call from my mom's cell phone. I text her to let her know I was in class and that I would call later. She immediately responded with a text saying that she had a letter from the U with her. I promptly left my class, which was quite rude of me, I'm sure, and called her. I asked my mom to open the letter for me because I couldn't wait any longer (and she would know the outcome eventually). I was put on speaker phone (after telling my mom how to put her phone on speaker) and she opened the letter. After reading the formalities of the letter, which are not very comforting whether you've been accepted or not, she read that I was recommended for acceptance by the Speech-Pathology program.

In a nutshell: I'M ACCEPTED!

After some final reviews of my GPA and actually obtaining my degree in April, I'll be a full-fledged University of Utah graduate student. And it feels great.

Now the question arises: Will I still support my BYU Cougars or jump on the U of U band-wagon? Stay tuned to find out.
