Subway Sandwiches on the way to Institute

Yup, it's true. The only meal I'm getting today is dinner, and I'm stuffing my face while I have five extra minutes to sneak into work to grab my Subway that I left here this afternoon before I need to jet off to institute. However strange it may seem that I am STILL going after waking up at 6:30 without any meals and only one twenty minute break after visiting teaching, which followed work, which followed three classes...this is all pretty normal to me. No rest for the righteous, or was it wicked...I have no idea, I don't have time to even think!

Wow, this week has been a toughie. I found out ALL of my test scores for the past semester, and they're not too great, I discovered a truth I've been avoiding for years, and it's been freezing. Talk about a whammie! But through all of this, my life is still perfect. I'm trying my hardest and putting forth my best effort, which is really all the can be expected of me. I am not in any way disappointed with myself or my life, and it feels great.

Tomorrow, I am voting for the first time EVER! I still don't know who I'm voting for, and honestly, I'm not worried that I don't have any idea how I feel about the candidates. I'm not pleased with either of the top two choices, and know nothing about all the third party candidates, so tomorrow's gaila at the polls will be just that...a gaila. Don't get me wrong, I am STOKED to vote and I think voting is very important and essential to our government, but I don't know how to do it. I guess I'll figure it out tomorrow...

Lost Hopes and Missionaries

Well well well, BYU messed up their chances at a BCS bowl...surprise? I think not. Whenever ANY sports team I root for has a chance to be great, something goes wrong. Well, this year it was BYU's game against TCU...are you serious? Last year we SLAUGHTERED them! However, TCU did have some things to their advantage:
1) home field advantage (duh!)
2) not ranked in the Top Ten
3) nothing to lose (you see, they didn't have the weight of the nation's longest winning streak, or a quest for perfection)
Now my hopes for crushing Utah are lost. Where can I turn for peace?

On to happier things, one of my closest friends gets home from serving a mission in Taiwan next Tuesday! I haven't seen him for nearly three years, and that streak will end the first weekend of November. I can hardly contain my excitement! Keep checkin back for updates. Until then, I'm out.

BYU Football, amongst others things...

This afternoon, in a short half an hour, is the 2008 BYU Homecoming Game! BYU has been crushing its opponents this season, and currently holds the longest winning streak in the nation! Eat that! Today promises to be one of laughter, cheers, and joy...until we're 20 points up and the fans start to leave because of boredom and monotony. Hopefully the game against New Mexico will showcase our finest players in their most spectacular moments yet.

Do you ever feel that the people you're around don't really care whether you're there or not? Do you feel like a wallflower waiting to be finally start blooming? Then pick it up and start blooming! It's up to you to showcase your best and most beautiful self...

Well, the fans are cheering, the announcer is blaring, and it's time to head out to the game. GO COUGARS!

New Way of Life

This blog is a completely new way of life for me! Bear with me as I try to entertain and showcase myself for all the world to see. I have so much to tell the world, but only a limited amount of time to share it.

Earlier this week I was thinking about how much the Lord has blessed me with, and how ungrateful I am for it. I can always find things that I am lacking, I am always wanting. My new way of life to be more grateful for my many, many blessings and no longer be wanting. There is far too much in my life to be happy about, I dont want to waste time yearning for things that others have. (Alma 26:27)

I challenge all of you out there who may, for some reason, be reading this to discover how much the Lord has blessed you and to truly express your thanks. The Lord will bless you ten-fold for your gratitude.

Loves until later!
